Katie & Mark's Summit County Engagement

Katie and Mark first contacted me all excited to do their engagement photos in the mountains of Colorado. While they live in Tennessee and will be getting married there this Fall, they wanted to incorporate their love of these rocky mountains into the celebration of their love. And they specifically wanted it to be winter—hooray!

I love winter. And it’s a blessing that I do because as I write this in late May, we’re getting dumped on—9 inches and counting! I also love clients who love winter as well. I think snow shots are gorgeous and I always love doing them even with the challenges they present. Travel to locations can be difficult, walking around, and looking cute in subfreezing temps isn’t always the easiest, but with my experience in the area and the strategies I’ve built (and continue to build!) the winter photos are always worth it and always a blast.

If you’re interested in a snow session, don’t hesitate to reach out and we can start building a strategy for your shoot! In the meantime, check out all the adorableness that Katie and Mark have to offer! We did a mega session celebrating all sorts of spots in Summit County. We started out in Silverthorne on the banks of the Blue River, overlooking Buffalo Mountain and headed over towards Sapphire Point with views of Breckenridge and snowy and ice covered Lake Dillon. We event went out on the ice for some fun! We wrapped up at sunset in Frisco with 360 degree views that included Peak One (and the historic new avalanche it just had!) and the always stunning Grays & Torrey’s twin fourteeners.
